Solar in Capel SoundA new suburb name on an old stretch of coast
Capel Sound has only had its name since 2019, when part of Rosebud West was renamed. The houses are older than the name. The grid of flat streets between Rosebud and Tootgarook holds 1960s fibro and weatherboard beach houses, later brick veneer, and a steady run of renovations and new builds on lots where the original cottage has been replaced. If your rates notice still says Rosebud West, we know where you are.
That mix shapes the solar. Updated homes and new builds tend to have tin roofs with long, clean runs, which are quick to lay out and fix to. The original cottages need a closer look first, at roof framing and at a switchboard that may still have ceramic fuses, before panels and a battery go anywhere near them. We check both on the first visit and include any board work in the price.
Our Capel Sound job is a good example of where most quotes here end up: 10.12kW of Jinko panels on a tin roof, a single-phase Sigen Hybrid inverter and 24.18kWh of storage in the garage. It sits alongside the rest of our work in Capel Sound.
