Why FroniusThe inverter electricians put on their own roofs
Fronius has been building inverters in Austria since the 1990s and has been in Australia longer than almost any other brand. That matters for the one component in a solar system most likely to need attention in its life: the service network is deep, parts are here, and a 20-year-old Fronius still gets supported. The hardware is actively cooled, which is why it holds full output on a 40-degree Melbourne afternoon when passively cooled inverters are throttling back.
We install two families. The GEN24 Plus hybrids for homes, which can run as a plain string inverter today and take a BYD battery whenever you are ready, with a backup power outlet built in from day one. And the Symo string inverters for large three-phase homes and commercial roofs, up to 20kW per unit. System design is on the solar and battery page; this page is about the Fronius hardware.
