Powerband Electrical started as a Melbourne electrical contractor more than 15 years ago, doing the everyday work: switchboards, wiring, lighting, fit-outs. As solar took off we added it. As customers asked us to get rid of their gas heating and hot water, we added refrigeration and plumbing. Somewhere along the way the business stopped being an electrician who also does solar and became a company whose job is taking homes off gas entirely.
Today that is what we do, from a base in Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula, for homes and businesses across Melbourne. Solar and batteries, ducted reverse cycle, heat pump hot water, induction, EV charging and the electrical work that ties it together, designed as one system and installed by our own people. Tim Davies runs it as Director, and the crews you see in the photos are the ones who turn up.
