RosebudRosebud, from the switchboard up
30 minutes from Somerville, Rosebud is where a lot of our Peninsula work is. Coastal homes, strong solar, owners who want a battery and backup for the outages that come with the wind. Gas is reticulated in parts of Rosebud and not others, so the electrification plan starts with checking what the house actually runs on.
Because Rosebud is on mains gas and inside the VEU area, the typical order of works is heating and hot water first for the rebates and the running-cost drop, then solar and a battery sized to the new electric load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. We plan the whole sequence at the first inspection so nothing has to be redone.
Rosebud is regular territory for our crews, and a site inspection there is usually within the week. We design every job as one system, so the solar is sized for the heat pump it will run and the switchboard is checked before the EV charger is quoted.
