A normal solar and battery install puts a solar inverter, a battery inverter, a battery, a gateway and an EV charger on the wall, each from a different brand, each with its own app. SigenStor puts all of that in one modular stack. The hybrid inverter sits at the base, the battery modules stack on top of it, and the energy management system inside decides where every kilowatt goes: house, battery, car or grid.
That is why it has become our default. One warranty, one app, one installer responsible for the lot, and you can start with a small battery and add modules later without touching the inverter. Every home is different, but almost every Sigenergy quote we write is one of these three, sized to the bill.
6.6kW to 10kW of panels on a SigenStor hybrid with a single 8kWh module. Covers the evening peak for a typical two to three person home and leaves the stack ready for more modules when the induction cooktop or the EV arrives.
10kW to 13kW of panels and 16kWh of storage. Enough to run a family home through the evening and overnight on stored solar most of the year, with whole-home backup through a blackout. The configuration on most of our all-electric jobs.
Adds the Sigenergy DC charger module to the stack, so the car charges straight from the panels and battery at DC without the losses of a separate AC charger. Vehicle-to-home with compatible cars, so the EV can run the house too.
Pricing depends on panel count, module count, switchboard condition and phase. We quote all three configurations against your actual bill so you can see the payback on each, with battery rebates applied.
Single phase suits most Melbourne homes. Three phase for larger houses, ducted heating and cooling loads, or homes already on three-phase supply.

Yes. Up to six modules stack on one inverter, up to 48kWh. Start with one 8kWh module and add more when the EV or the heat pump arrives, without replacing anything. This is the main reason we recommend it to homes going electric in stages.
Yes. It switches to backup automatically and can run either the whole home or nominated essential circuits, depending on how we wire it and how much storage you have. We wire and test backup on every install.
With the optional DC charger module, yes, directly from the panels and battery at DC. With compatible vehicles it also supports vehicle-to-home, so the car battery can run the house. Without the module, it works alongside any normal AC EV charger we install.
Sigenergy is a relatively new company, founded in 2022 by former Huawei energy engineers, and has grown quickly in Australia on the strength of the SigenStor design. The hardware is well built, the warranty is 10 years with Australian support, and it has performed well on our own jobs. We would not make it our default otherwise.
Yes. SigenStor is on the approved product list for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount, and the solar side qualifies for the Solar Victoria rebate and STCs. We confirm your eligibility at inspection and apply everything on the quote.
