Solar in Glen WaverleyHalf the street is original, half is new
Glen Waverley is two kinds of suburb on the same street. The originals are 1960s and 70s brick veneer, single storey, with a hipped tile roof and usually one long face that catches the sun for most of the day. Next door there is often a rebuild: a large two-storey home or a pair of townhouses where one house used to be, with a roof broken into lots of smaller faces at different heights.
Those two roofs need different designs. On an original hip we can usually run long, tidy rows and the main question is how far round to the east and west to go. On a new two-storey roof the job is finding enough usable area once the box gutters, vents and upper walls are accounted for, and that is where high-output panels earn their place. Some originals also carry a small early system from the feed-in tariff days, and we will tell you plainly whether it is worth keeping.
We are not local. Glen Waverley is about 50 minutes up the road from our depot in Somerville, and we service it with the same crews and the same fixed quotes as the suburbs closer to home. The design starts with your bills and your plans for the gas, and it sits alongside the other electrical work we do in Glen Waverley.
