BraybrookOff gas in Braybrook, one step at a time
Braybrook is postwar housing commission estates being steadily replaced by townhouses, with the Ballarat Road and Churchill Avenue end changing fastest. Most of our work is either in the original homes, which are small, gas heated and easy to electrify, or in the new builds for the builders doing the infill.
Because Braybrook is on mains gas and inside the VEU area, the usual order of works is heating and hot water first for the rebates and the running-cost drop, then solar and a battery sized to the new electric load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. The west also runs hotter in summer than the bay and eastern suburbs, so the reverse cycle system that replaces the gas heater earns its keep twice a year.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see our home electrification page; for Braybrook specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
