Point CookHow we approach Point Cook homes
Point Cook grew from almost nothing in the early 2000s to one of Melbourne's largest suburbs, and the housing is estate-built brick veneer, many double storey, around Sanctuary Lakes, the town centre and the coastal wetlands. Most homes have ducted gas and gas hot water, and a lot already have solar that is now undersized.
Because Point Cook is inside the VEU area and most homes here were connected to gas, the usual order is solar and a battery sized properly, then reverse cycle and a heat pump to replace the gas heating and hot water, then induction, then the gas meter abolished. Flat, unshaded western roofs make the solar side of that especially good value.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see our home electrification page; for Point Cook specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
