Cranbourne SouthCranbourne South, from the switchboard up
Cranbourne South is one of the City of Casey growth areas, 13 km and about 18 minutes from our Somerville depot. Nearly everything here was built after 2005, which changes the job: the homes are insulated, the switchboards are modern, and since Victoria's all-electric rule for new homes most of the newest builds have no gas at all. The question in Cranbourne South is usually solar, battery and EV charging, not gas replacement.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Cranbourne South home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle goes in with new R1.5 insulated ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. The Solar Victoria rebate and loan cover the solar panels and inverter, and the federal battery discount covers the battery.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see home electrification; for Cranbourne South specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
