Heating in BlairgowrieOne house, one company, no gas left
Most Blairgowrie homes still carry gas somewhere: a ducted heater or a space heater in the lounge, a storage tank for hot water and a cooktop. Each one is a separate bill line and a separate thing to fail. The job we are asked about most here is not just a new heater, but how to get the whole house off gas in a sensible order.
The double-storey Blairgowrie home on this page is a good example. It ran gas heating, gas hot water and gas cooking on a single-phase board that could not take another circuit. We rewired it to three phase, added solar and a battery, and replaced the heating with Mitsubishi Electric split systems, alongside heat pump hot water and induction cooking. One team did every stage.
Heating is usually the biggest part of that change. For two-storey homes, split systems or a multi-head on each level are often simpler than ducts. For single-storey homes with roof space, ducted reverse cycle on new R1.5 insulated ducts heats and cools every room. Either way the outdoor units are placed and specified for the salt.
