PakenhamPakenham, from the switchboard up
Pakenham is one of the Cardinia Shire growth areas, 32 km and about 40 minutes from our Somerville depot. Nearly everything here was built after 2005, which changes the job: the homes are insulated, the switchboards are modern, and since Victoria's all-electric rule for new homes most of the newest builds have no gas at all. The question in Pakenham is usually solar, battery and EV charging, not gas replacement.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Pakenham home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle usually connects to the existing ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. Solar Victoria rebates and loans cover the panels and battery that follow.
We have been working in Pakenham and around Pakenham Upper, Officer and Officer South for years. Site inspections are free, the quote is fixed with every rebate already applied, and the same in-house crew does the electrical, refrigeration and plumbing. If you are weighing up where to start, our home electrification page walks through the order, or call and we will tell you straight for your house.
