Electrification in Cranbourne NorthGas in the older streets, none in the newest
Cranbourne North has grown in stages, and the stage your street was built in decides where you start. The earlier estates were plumbed for mains gas: a ducted gas heater in the roof, a gas hot water service on the side wall, a gas cooktop, and on many homes an evaporative cooler for summer. The newest streets were built after Victoria's all-electric rule, so there is no gas to remove, only an electric house to make cheaper to run.
For the gas homes, home electrification Cranbourne North style usually begins with the ducted heater. Replacing it with ducted reverse cycle gives one system that heats and cools, at around a third of the running cost of gas heating. We fit new R1.5 insulated ducts sized for the new unit as standard, typically over one to two days, then the heat pump hot water and induction cooktop follow. Most switchboards here are modern, but every one is checked before we quote.
For the all-electric homes, the work is solar, a battery and an EV charger, sized for what the house really uses. Either way, we plan it in one visit so each step builds on the last. More about our Cranbourne North work.
