CairnleaHow we approach Cairnlea homes
Cairnlea is a master-planned estate built from the late 1990s on former industrial land between Deer Park and St Albans. The homes are brick veneer, many double storey, with ducted gas and gas hot water now around 20 years old, and good roofs for solar.
Because Cairnlea is inside the VEU area and most homes here were connected to gas, the usual order is solar and a battery sized properly, then reverse cycle and a heat pump to replace the gas heating and hot water, then induction, then the gas meter abolished. Flat, unshaded western roofs make the solar side of that especially good value.
Cairnlea is about 70 minutes from our Somerville depot. We plan west-side work so one inspection covers the whole house and installs are booked to run to schedule, and everything is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, for a fixed after-rebate price.
