In Tyabb the houses are on acres, the supply is often three-phase and the gas, if there is any, comes in a bottle. It is about 10 minutes from our Somerville depot and a big part of our work there is large solar and battery systems with backup, because the grid on the hinterland goes down more than it should.
Because Tyabb is on mains gas and inside the VEU area, the typical order of works is heating and hot water first for the rebates and the running-cost drop, then solar and a battery sized to the new electric load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. We plan the whole sequence at the first inspection so nothing has to be redone.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see home electrification; for Tyabb specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
