ToorakToorak, from the switchboard up
Toorak is inner Melbourne, City of Stonnington, about 50 minutes from our Somerville depot. The housing is terraces, units and apartment blocks, and a high proportion of it is rented. That shifts our work here toward rental safety checks and compliance, induction changeovers in small kitchens, EV charging in apartment car parks, and split systems where there is no roof space for ducted.
Because Toorak is on mains gas and inside the VEU area, the typical order of works is heating and hot water first for the rebates and the running-cost drop, then solar and a battery sized to the new electric load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. We plan the whole sequence at the first inspection so nothing has to be redone.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see home electrification; for Toorak specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
