MurrumbeenaMurrumbeena, from the switchboard up
Murrumbeena sits in the City of Glen Eira area, about 38 km and 50 minutes from our Somerville depot, next to Hughesdale, Carnegie and Oakleigh. Most of the housing went up between the 1960s and the 1980s: brick veneer on a slab or stumps, a ducted gas heater in the roof and a gas storage tank against the side wall. It is the most common kind of house we electrify, and the one where the savings are largest.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Murrumbeena home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle goes in with new R1.5 insulated ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. The Solar Victoria rebate and loan cover the solar panels and inverter, and the federal battery discount covers the battery.
We have been working in Murrumbeena and around Hughesdale, Carnegie and Oakleigh for years. Site inspections are free, the quote is fixed with every rebate already applied, and the same in-house crew does the electrical, refrigeration and plumbing. If you are weighing up where to start, our home electrification page walks through the order, or call and we will tell you straight for your house.
