MordiallocThe Mordialloc job, house by house
Mordialloc is City of Kingston bayside, about 30 minutes from our Somerville depot along the Nepean Highway. The housing is older and more varied than the outer suburbs: interwar and 1950s homes, plenty of them renovated and extended, on generous blocks with good roof area. Gas heating is near universal in the originals, and heritage or neighbourhood character overlays affect where panels can go on some streets, which we check before quoting.
Because Mordialloc is on mains gas and inside the VEU area, the typical order of works is heating and hot water first for the rebates and the running-cost drop, then solar and a battery sized to the new electric load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. We plan the whole sequence at the first inspection so nothing has to be redone.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see home electrification; for Mordialloc specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
