Mont Albert NorthMont Albert North, from the switchboard up
About 60 minutes from Somerville, Mont Albert North is classic City of Whitehorse housing: brick veneer built in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, most of it heated by ducted gas that is now well past its design life. We have worked in Mont Albert North and neighbouring Mont Albert, Doncaster West and Box Hill North for years, so we know these houses before we walk in.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Mont Albert North home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle goes in with new R1.5 insulated ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. The Solar Victoria rebate and loan cover the solar panels and inverter, and the federal battery discount covers the battery.
Mont Albert North is regular territory for our crews, and a site inspection there is usually within the week. We design every job as one system, so the solar is sized for the heat pump it will run and the switchboard is checked before the EV charger is quoted.
