For Docklands property managers: rental electrical safety checks, compliance work, pre-lease inspections and appliance upgrades across a rent roll, with tenant liaison and reporting built for how agencies work.
Real Estate across MelbourneOne licensed crew for solar, batteries, heating and cooling, hot water, induction and EV charging across Docklands and North Melbourne and Southbank. About 60 minutes from our depot in Somerville, rebates applied before you see the price.
In Docklands the job is rarely a big detached house with a roof full of panels. It is City of Melbourne terraces and apartments, owners corporations, property managers and tenants. We do the two-yearly electrical safety checks, the switchboard and smoke alarm compliance, the induction swaps and the shared-supply EV charging that inner suburbs actually need.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Docklands home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle usually connects to the existing ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. Solar Victoria rebates and loans cover the panels and battery that follow.
Docklands is regular territory for our crews, and a site inspection there is usually within the week. We design every job as one system, so the solar is sized for the heat pump it will run and the switchboard is checked before the EV charger is quoted.
Rental compliance, induction and apartment EV charging lead in Docklands. Solar is a design question, not a given.
For Docklands property managers: rental electrical safety checks, compliance work, pre-lease inspections and appliance upgrades across a rent roll, with tenant liaison and reporting built for how agencies work.
Real Estate across MelbourneThe induction swap is the smallest job on this page and the one that finally lets a Docklands home cancel the gas account. Dedicated 32A circuit, cooktop supplied or yours installed, gas capped by our plumber, VEU discount on the quote.
Induction Cooktops across MelbourneFor Docklands apartments and townhouses we handle the owners corporation submission, load management and metering that shared-supply charging needs. For houses with their own supply it is a straightforward dedicated circuit and a charger set to solar-first.
EV Chargers across MelbourneIn Docklands the ducted gas heaters are reaching the end of their lives together, and every one of them is a candidate for a reverse cycle swap using the ducts already in the roof. ARC-authorised technicians, VEU discount applied, and for the smaller homes and units a split system or multi-head does the job for less.
Heating & Cooling across MelbourneMost Docklands homes still have a gas storage tank, and when it fails it is usually replaced like for like without anyone asking the question. The better answer is a heat pump from Reclaim, iStore or Emerald, installed in a day by our plumber and electrician together, with VEU and STCs both applied. About a quarter of the energy, and normally the fastest-paying step off gas.
Hot Water Systems across MelbourneSolar in Docklands is a design exercise more than a sales one: small, often shaded roofs, heritage streets and shared walls. We work out what is realistic, pair it with a battery where the evening load justifies it, and apply Solar Victoria rebates and loans where you qualify.
Solar & Battery across MelbourneA full Docklands electrification is usually heating first, hot water second, then solar and battery sized to the new load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. Designed once at the first inspection, staged over as many visits as suits you, and every step attracts its own rebates.
Home Electrification across MelbourneFor builders and renovators in Docklands: electrical fit-out plus solar, HVAC, heat pump, induction and EV pre-wiring designed together at plan stage, from one licensed contractor.
Builders across MelbourneWe work in Docklands regularly enough that most of the crew know the streets and the houses.

Solar sized for the heat pump it will run, switchboard checked before the EV charger is quoted. One design for the whole Docklands house.

The whole experience of working with Powerband has been fantastic. From the get go they were helpful with the design, requirements and answering all the questions we had about the install. We couldn't be happier with choosing them for the job. Special thanks to Bailey and the team for getting the entire installation done in one day it was a huge job so for it to be done and to such a high standard is much appreciated Thanks everyone at Powerband for all you've donePosted on Google![]()

We have just had a Braemer Dominator reverse cycle ducted system installed by the Powerband Electrical team to replace our gas-fired system. We were very happy with the whole process, from the sales/design discussions with Dayle to the installation by the team led by Julian and including Logan and Darren. Using the existing ducting had its challenges but the team overcame them well. Julian set up the AirTouch5 control system & zoning with us and with a sudden cold snap arriving it has proven simple to use to create a comfortable environment. In fact we are already finding it far more effective system than the considerably larger gas unit and a more uniform heat with less draughts. Thanks to the Powerband team. Petris and his electrical team did 2 inverter airconditioner installs as part of our whole solar system install. Great workers, good thinkers who could sort out a couple of small issues in short order and wonderful people to have around our house. Organised and professional. Highly recommend Powerband.Posted on Google![]()

Had the Powerband team electrify out whole house. Updated the heating / cooling with split systems, replace gas cooktop & hot water and put solar on with a 30kw battery. No gas bill, solar is producing more energy than we consume. These days we barely even have the supply charge. As part of it, they put the package together of what we wanted and needed to future proof our house and showed us several options for paying for it, in the end we opted for a 5-year interest free loan. Looking at our numbers, most of the loan will be paid off from the savings from our gas and electricity savings. All the work and upgrades done and barely any out of pocket cost, nice.... The team were great - worked in with timing for the jobs when it worked for us. The boys on site were all great, friendly, polite and professional. Did the job well and packed up (and cleaned up) well. Happy to recommend Powerband to anyone wanting to electrify their house in a cost-effective way.Posted on Google![]()

Yes. Docklands is inside the VEU area, so heat pump hot water, reverse cycle heating and cooling and induction cooktops all attract discounts, with the largest when you are replacing gas. We apply them on the quote.
In most Docklands homes, yes. We inspect the ducts and the plenum at the site visit, and if they are sound the reverse cycle unit connects to them. That is the single biggest saving in the job.
Usually within the week, often sooner. Our depot is in Somerville, about 60 minutes from Docklands.
Yes. Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall and Sungrow, sized to your evening load, with backup circuits configured. Solar Victoria battery rebates and loans and the federal battery discount are applied on the quote.
All of them. North Melbourne, Southbank and South Melbourne and the rest of the Inner Melbourne area, and across Melbourne. See the locations page for the full list.
Tell us what you are thinking about. We will book a free site inspection and send a written quote with rebates applied. No obligation.
