CaulfieldWorking in Caulfield
About 50 minutes from Somerville, Caulfield is classic City of Glen Eira housing: brick veneer built in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, most of it heated by ducted gas that is now well past its design life. We have worked in Caulfield and neighbouring Caulfield North, Caulfield South and Caulfield East for years, so we know these houses before we walk in.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Caulfield home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle goes in with new R1.5 insulated ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. The Solar Victoria rebate and loan cover the solar panels and inverter, and the federal battery discount covers the battery.
Caulfield is regular territory for our crews, and a site inspection there is usually within the week. We design every job as one system, so the solar is sized for the heat pump it will run and the switchboard is checked before the EV charger is quoted.
