For Abbotsford property managers: rental electrical safety checks, compliance work, pre-lease inspections and appliance upgrades across a rent roll, with tenant liaison and reporting built for how agencies work.
Real Estate across MelbourneOne licensed crew for solar, batteries, heating and cooling, hot water, induction and EV charging across Abbotsford and Collingwood and Clifton Hill. About 60 minutes from our depot in Somerville, rebates applied before you see the price.
Abbotsford is inner Melbourne, City of Yarra, about 60 minutes from our Somerville depot. The housing is terraces, units and apartment blocks, and a high proportion of it is rented. That shifts our work here toward rental safety checks and compliance, induction changeovers in small kitchens, EV charging in apartment car parks, and split systems where there is no roof space for ducted.
The gas heater and the hot water unit are where a Abbotsford home's energy money goes, and both are in the Victorian Energy Upgrades area, so replacing them attracts VEU discounts on top of the running-cost saving. Ducted reverse cycle usually connects to the existing ducts, and a heat pump hot water unit goes in on the same day the old tank comes out. Solar Victoria rebates and loans cover the panels and battery that follow.
Everything on this page is done by Powerband employees, not subcontractors, and quoted as a fixed after-rebate price after a free site inspection. For the full picture of how we stage a house off gas, see home electrification; for Abbotsford specifics, the fastest answer is a phone call.
Rental compliance, induction and apartment EV charging lead in Abbotsford. Solar is a design question, not a given.
For Abbotsford property managers: rental electrical safety checks, compliance work, pre-lease inspections and appliance upgrades across a rent roll, with tenant liaison and reporting built for how agencies work.
Real Estate across MelbourneOnce heating and hot water are electric, the cooktop is the last gas appliance in most Abbotsford kitchens and the reason the supply charge keeps arriving. We supply and install the induction cooktop, run the dedicated circuit and cap the gas, usually in half a day, with the VEU discount applied.
Induction Cooktops across MelbourneEV charging in Abbotsford is often an apartment or townhouse question: shared supply, owners corporation approval, load management across bays and per-bay metering. We prepare the technical submission and do the install. Single-driveway terraces are simpler and quoted fixed.
EV Chargers across MelbourneReplacing a 20-plus-year-old ducted gas heater with a Braemar or Mitsubishi reverse cycle unit on the existing ducts is the job we do most in Abbotsford. The house gets cooling for the first time, the gas bill drops and the VEU discount comes off the install. Where ducts are not practical, split systems from Panasonic, Mitsubishi or Haier cover the living areas and bedrooms.
Heating & Cooling across MelbourneHeat pump hot water is the easiest electrification win in Abbotsford: one visit, old gas or electric tank out, Reclaim or iStore heat pump in, gas capped, VEU discount and STCs on the quote. Timed to run through the middle of the day it heats almost entirely on solar.
Hot Water Systems across MelbourneSolar in Abbotsford is a design exercise more than a sales one: small, often shaded roofs, heritage streets and shared walls. We work out what is realistic, pair it with a battery where the evening load justifies it, and apply Solar Victoria rebates and loans where you qualify.
Solar & Battery across MelbourneA full Abbotsford electrification is usually heating first, hot water second, then solar and battery sized to the new load, then the cooktop, then the gas meter abolished. Designed once at the first inspection, staged over as many visits as suits you, and every step attracts its own rebates.

We have worked in Abbotsford and the suburbs around it for years and can usually tell you on the phone roughly what your job will cost after rebates.
Abbotsford qualifies for the Victorian and federal incentives going. They are on the quote, and we do the paperwork.

The whole experience of working with Powerband has been fantastic. From the get go they were helpful with the design, requirements and answering all the questions we had about the install. We couldn't be happier with choosing them for the job. Special thanks to Bailey and the team for getting the entire installation done in one day it was a huge job so for it to be done and to such a high standard is much appreciated Thanks everyone at Powerband for all you've donePosted on Google![]()

We have just had a Braemer Dominator reverse cycle ducted system installed by the Powerband Electrical team to replace our gas-fired system. We were very happy with the whole process, from the sales/design discussions with Dayle to the installation by the team led by Julian and including Logan and Darren. Using the existing ducting had its challenges but the team overcame them well. Julian set up the AirTouch5 control system & zoning with us and with a sudden cold snap arriving it has proven simple to use to create a comfortable environment. In fact we are already finding it far more effective system than the considerably larger gas unit and a more uniform heat with less draughts. Thanks to the Powerband team. Petris and his electrical team did 2 inverter airconditioner installs as part of our whole solar system install. Great workers, good thinkers who could sort out a couple of small issues in short order and wonderful people to have around our house. Organised and professional. Highly recommend Powerband.Posted on Google![]()

Had the Powerband team electrify out whole house. Updated the heating / cooling with split systems, replace gas cooktop & hot water and put solar on with a 30kw battery. No gas bill, solar is producing more energy than we consume. These days we barely even have the supply charge. As part of it, they put the package together of what we wanted and needed to future proof our house and showed us several options for paying for it, in the end we opted for a 5-year interest free loan. Looking at our numbers, most of the loan will be paid off from the savings from our gas and electricity savings. All the work and upgrades done and barely any out of pocket cost, nice.... The team were great - worked in with timing for the jobs when it worked for us. The boys on site were all great, friendly, polite and professional. Did the job well and packed up (and cleaned up) well. Happy to recommend Powerband to anyone wanting to electrify their house in a cost-effective way.Posted on Google![]()

Yes. Abbotsford is inside the VEU area, so heat pump hot water, reverse cycle heating and cooling and induction cooktops all attract discounts, with the largest when you are replacing gas. We apply them on the quote.
Usually the ducted heater or the hot water unit, whichever is older. Both carry the largest running costs and the largest VEU discounts, and both are one-visit jobs.
Usually within the week, often sooner. Our depot is in Somerville, about 60 minutes from Abbotsford.
It varies a lot in Abbotsford. Terraces and townhouses often take a modest array, apartments usually cannot take an individual system. We tell you honestly what your roof can do before you spend anything.
All of them. Collingwood, Clifton Hill and East Melbourne and the rest of the Inner Melbourne area, and across Melbourne. See the locations page for the full list.
Tell us what you are thinking about. We will book a free site inspection and send a written quote with rebates applied. No obligation.
